Accepting New Patients
Marijoy Pineda, our acclaimed office manager. A long time Oakland resident, Marijoy attended Oakland Technical High School. She is bilingual, fluent in English and Tagalog (Filipino). Marijoy earned an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Assisting at the College of Alameda in 2000. She began her long career in the dental field in this very office, learning all the aspects of a dental practice. As first an intern while in school, she was hired on as a Registered Dental Assistant. Her aptitude for numbers and understanding of billing led her to be promoted to financial coordinator and thereafter to office manager in 2008. Marijoy has been working with patients and insurance companies for many years to aid our patients’ dental and financial needs.
She is a proud mother of two children whose many pictures you will find displayed in her office. She spends her quality time finding fun activities for her entire family to do. She enjoys baking, crafting and volunteering at her children’s school.
